About Our School

Aberfeldy School is a small rural school, catering for a number of children from north and south of the school as well as the wider Wanganui region.

The Aberfeldy School  Mission: Learning is a journey in which all students, staff and whanau ride our WAKA through life and land at  success. With perseverance and positive attitudes we can all take on new challenges and experiences. 

Aberfeldy School enthusiastically engages learners by providing and exciting learning environment. We aim to provide a positive learning environment which will challenge all individuals to achieve personal standards of excellence and encourage each student to reach their full potential. We pride ourselves on offering low student to teacher ratios. This means we can get to know our students really well to provide individualised programmes. We are a close community at Aberfeldy school, and we have a number of events for students and family such as pet days, sports day and our school production. Our school is set in a lovely country environment.  We have lots of outdoor space, a swimming pool, vegetable gardens, fruit trees and animals.  We are proud to be a Bronze Enviro-school.
